Welcome to the Dream Family. Here we start with learning basic Jiu Jitsu fundamentals for self-defense. Our advanced classes train to compete in BJJ tournaments. Dream MMA is the premier martial arts gym located in the heart of the Santa Clarita Valley. Our elite instructors are also trained professional fighters. The owner of our gym, Jeff Martin, holds a first-degree Jiu Jitsu black belt with over 17 years of professional fights.
Jiu Jitsu Classes Near Me
Looking for Jiu Jitsu classes near me? First, it can be difficult to decipher the difference between gyms, especially those that force long commitments. We believe in earning your business with each class.
Dream MMA is Different
Old hard mats can actually harm you. As a result, Dream purchased the best Dollamur Mats available in October 2019. Dream MMA is the only gym in the Santa Clarita Valley with springs underneath the mat! This innovation provides extra safety like no other BJJ gym.
How Clean is our SCV Martial Arts Gym?
Coach Jeff meticulously hand washes his mats, two and even three times a day. We use hospital grade anti-viral and anti-bacterial cleaner. There are absolutely no shoes allowed on the mat and shoes must be worn off the mat at all times.
Cleanliness is the most important factor in choosing the right dojo.
For instance, no one wants ring worm or even worse, staph infections. Gym floors must be cleaned with disinfectant daily and after vigorous training, which often does not happen at other gyms. Losing training partners to skin issues from old, hard, dirty mats is a preventable .
Your Time is Valuable.
Classes should be available at the times you need. You may have a busy schedule or family waiting at home, class should begin and finish on time. Lessons learned on the mat translate to every day life and dojos should set the example of punctuality.
Classes are available morning and night at Dream MMA. Coach Jeff trains every day, including holidays. When every gym is closed in SCV, Dream MMA is open.
You can’t train jiu jitsu alone.
You will need a variety of training partners. People come in different sizes in the real world. You should never say, “wait, we are not in the same weight class.” After that, if ALL of your training partners are too large or too small for you, you may want to consider another dojo.
What to look for in a BJJ Instructor?
Above all, your instructor should participate in competitions or have a history of combat experience. Your safety is the most important thing in the world. Therefore, it is imperative to learn from someone with actual fighting experiences.
Does your coach train with you?? You can’t improve at a dramatic rate if you don’t train with higher ranks. Finally, a great dojo will encourage you to train at multiple locations to attain as much knowledge as possible!
“No coach has all the answers. Staying true to your home base is key.”
Attending open mats at other dojos is the best way to test your skills without paying for tournaments. If your dojo forbids you to train elsewhere, it’s time to go!!
Bring your skills to Dream Martial Arts and Fitness and rise to every challenge offered. Our goal is help you progress at a tremendous speed in a safe controlled manner. It’s time to take your Jiu Jitsu training to the next level and have fun doing it. Learn with Jeff Martin and see the difference! Happy training.
